There was this place right around the corner, damn I forget the name, maybe Lady Daisey will comment it on here for us . . . but anyway they had the illest Tabouleh – doods would hook it up with extra Olive oil and lemon juice to order – - I copped it about 6 times – ha! I loved it best with the veggie pita, or as seen here, with the fresh falafel! (This one was delicious):

Fresh Falafel and Tabouleh - A Good combination
(Heads up – Tabouleh is generally cucumber, parsley, lemon, garlic, olive oil, and tomato)

Filling up between verses! Shout out to Frank Falalfel!
Dillon Ate . . . Ramen (?!) in Berlin with Batsauce & Lady Daisey

So I used to eat Ramen noodles like everyday in middle school, right? The Marchuan joints from Sam’s Club and all that . . . but I shook the habit mad years ago. Until Batsauce got sick and he wanted some Ramen – and in Berlin you can go anywhere and get the dope import Ramen with the oil flavor pack, yada yada. So when I saw they had “vegetable flavor” - I was game. Plus – it would be only fitting to indulge in some Ramen in celebration of my homie, P.Locke’s (Therapy) new album coming out soon on Tres Records – “Super Ramen Rocketship” – I am one of the privileged few to know firsthand that it is going to rearrange your spinal cord! BLAU!

Yum! Yum! Muggafelka!

Ramen was my first love . . .

Ok anyway this restaraunt was pretty wack. First off – the waiter seemed kinda cool at first – but yo – this muggafelka FORGOT TO BRING OUR NAAN BREAD. Literally – he didn’t know naan. HA! Sad . . . but true. How you gonna have Indian food with no naan? AND – well damn Batsauce is pretty much an Indian food expert and they made his Malai Kofta mad sweet with like raisins and all that – this meal wasn’t even fit for a Slumdog Millionaire.
Final Answer: The Germans should take a cue from the British and go ahead and try to colonize India before they sell these abominations again . . . (those Imperialist bastards!)

They ain't know it was gonna be wack yet . . .

Palak Paneer - the picture I took was better than the dish. . .

The Mango Lassi was the best part . . . (probably from a can!)

One of the best things about Berlin is their parks. Wow – totally doper than parks here in the states. Mostly, those places are there just to “park” your stupid car. In Berlin, a park is like a living room for the whole city. You can do anything – cook, eat, drink, smoke, sleep, read, protest, bring a portable generator and play obnoxious Euro dance music. . . Well anyway, Cody, Daisey, and I went to Mauer Park – where naturally I just run shit! (my name is spelled “Maurer” by the way . . .)

WE RUN IT!

Munchin on this potato thang . . .

How ya like that bagel?! . . . and Cous Cous

Dillon and Cody Maurer - RUNNIN Mauer Park!

Need I say more as to why this cozy little spot that Bat n Daze and I found on the way home from our “On Their Way” photo shoot is my absolute favorite! (Psst . . “On Their Way” is the title for the full-length project that Batsauce and I completed in Berlin . . . ask questions!)

Jasmin Thai in Berlin

I was blessed to have my sister, Cody come visit me whilst I was in Berlin. (Ha) – She came and stayed at Bat n Daze’s crib for a few days and of course we had to do it up Maurer style: broke-ly. Although we were able to splurge a tad on these tasty tapas.

Ok – one of the dopest things about Berlin cuisine is the fusion of cultures and dishes in this international melting pot. The blend of Turkish, Italian, Greek, and Middle Eastern has come up with one of my new favorite inventions – The Pizza Pide:

This ain't no Domino's, suckas.
- Pizza Pide: mit Spinat, Egg (?!), Mozzarella
- On a crispy thin Pita crust
- Freshly made and baked to order!

Pide up with the kid!

Batsauce, Lady Da*sey, & Dillon say, "Prost!"
Broke in Berlin
Some of you may know that I dipped out to Berlin for 3 weeks to stay with Batsauce & Lady Daisey. Batsauce and I are working on a full-length album together which Bat is producing entirely, recording/engineering, etc. Basically, I’m here to write raps, rap them, and crash on the little Ikea cot under the sloped roof in the mic booth. Dope. Look out for more news on that.
Anywho I’m here to dine exquisitely on a shoe-string budget, this was our first meal together straight off the plane:

- (Front L) – Arugula, Mozzarella, and Sea Salt
- (Back L) – Yellow Squash, Spinach, and Eggplant
- (Back R) – Triple Mushroom
- (Front R) – Zuchinni, Onion, Spinach, Brocolli, Mozzrella
- And of course a round of Becks (They’re better in Berlin!)
- The pizza only cost 2 Euro ein schtuk!
