En Gard(en) – Part Dos
Obviously, these pics are a little out-dated (I’m almost completely caught up with the blog) – They were taken a day after we had a nice rainy weekend here about a month ago. Twas a magically rainy Spring for Atlanta. And my veggies loved it!

The Zucchini Patch (Marigolds up front, Collards in the back)

Herbs up front, Bell Peppers, and Tomaotes

Strawberries, Mint, Lavender, Hot Peppers, Collards in the back

Georgia Collard Greens, Zucchini

En Garde(n)!
I firmly believe that as human beings and souls existing in at least one plane on planet Earth, we should be required to grow things. Food, flowers, lucky bamboo, whatever. It feels good. Try it. I am new to growing, this is only my 3rd garden. I’m still going real small, trying to learn it. Boyee this Georgia clay ain’t no joke neither!
These are pictures of when I first planted the garden, in the last week of April, 2009 – I planted late this year, using saplings. Next year I plan to prepare the soil 2 months in advance and plant seeds, albeit earlier.

In the front yard - perhaps getting too much sun.

Still Back in the Game Like Jack LaLanne . . .
Nothing beats raw fruits and vegetables – my only regret is I recently read it’s no good to eat fruits and veggies together, because fruits digest way quicker and it could upset your stomach . . . anybody got any thoughts on this? Oh yah – Dillon got the juice now!!

(L to R - Anjou Pear, Orange, Mango, Pineapple, Kiwi, Carrot)

Cheers, Salud, Prost! (I think I'm wishing this was coffee)

Mad Water.
Last year, when I was going to the chiropractor, she put me on to the fabulous Nikken “Aqua Pour” Gravity water system – WOW. It was a grip (I was able to get the hook up so I jumped on it) – but totally worth it. The water is pristine – it takes 5 hours to filter a gallon!! It goes through ceramic, then carbon, and then this whole chamber of filters, then it is filtered over Japanese mineral rocks, and pours out through a magnetic spout, which makes the water errr . . magnetically correct (?) – there’s a science behind it . Highly suggested – and it’ll save you in the long run if you buy bottled water – reduce consumption, suckas!

80 ounces a day! - of Water that is!
