Recently my comrades, Batsauce & Lady Daisey have been staying with me here in the A. Aside from doing shows and finishing up our respective albums (all music produced by Batsauce of course!), we enjoyed a 4 day raw diet. We had mad juice and raw nuts as well, but here are some of the culinary highlights:

This is a quick run through of some more of the fantastic food I prepared for my good friends, Bat and Daze, while they stayed at my crib here in ATL back in the fall, working on music. “Dilla Day in the A – 10/24/09″

Peace to everyone in Atlanta who made it out for “Dilla Day in the A” – a celebration of the life of musician James Yancey, aka J Dilla. Starting in the morning with the Lupus walk, to the afternoon with the “Dilla’s Dream Camp” workshop for ATL’s youth, to the highlight of the night at “The Bench” where ATL’s finest MCs repped HARD for Dilla. Illa J tore it down backed by DJ Rasta Root, Ma Dukes Yancey was in the building and dancing her ass off! It was a beautiful thing. The next day I was honored to kick it with them and do what I do on the food tip. Buen Provecho… (BTW the beat for this video is an unreleased J Dilla beat which I used at the Dilla Tribute show and has Ma Dukes’ seal of approval – holla!)

There’s really no special meaning for this title. I just be eatin’ mad tacos and I figure that’s peace so bada bing!
