“Banh Mi” is a Vietnamese-style sub sandwich which is a fusion with the French Baguette. Props to Chef Jonah at Murphy’s Restaurant for hooking me up with “Lee’s Bakery” on Buford Highway and Clermont Rd. in Atlanta. Yo this sandwich is simply the best – $2.50 a piece yo – I’m at Lee’s Bakery damn near everyday – they call me “Tofu No Mayo”.

As you already know – Lady Da*sey and Batsauce make fabulous music together – like records. Anywho, while in Berlin, my sister and I had the pleasure of attending a Lady Da*sey show at “Cassiopeia” – a really dope venue a few miles walk from the cribbo. Bat and Daze unveiled one of their newest joints, “Day Old Bread.” Dope concept, dope song, and what a great way to perform it. Delicioso – though I could have used a little “Day Old Olive Oil” – heads up, Daze . . .

I was ordering in German and all that! BONG! (PS – I generally don’t dig on the cheese – but . . . you know . . . When in Rome . . . go on . . .)

One of the best things about Berlin is their parks. Wow – totally doper than parks here in the states. Mostly, those places are there just to “park” your stupid car. In Berlin, a park is like a living room for the whole city. You can do anything – cook, eat, drink, smoke, sleep, read, protest, bring a portable generator and play obnoxious Euro dance music. . . Well anyway, Cody, Daisey, and I went to Mauer Park – where naturally I just run shit!  (my name is spelled “Maurer” by the way . . .)

Let me start this with a shout to the bakery across the street, Sultan Svei. Damn! I’m up in that piece everyday and they always treat me right and work with my broken German. They have the illest in fresh baked goods: (well, they’re still kinda fresh by 2 or 3pm when we finally make our way over there . . .) sweets, pastries, fresh baked breads, veggie tarts, and the bomb baguettes (more from the Baguette Baron later on . . .) – Let me just say, that this Spinat Tasche is only the beginning of what they throw down on . . .
